I have to admit that I think I am developing a bias when it comes to publishers like Vertigo and Image. I think almost everything that I've read from these 2 companies so far has been immensely enjoyable to say the least (although there have been a few so-so books along the way as well). We3 was no exception to this. Originally published in 2004 as a 3 issue limited series written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Frank Quitely, We3 was quick to garner critical acclaim, and for good reason - it's awesome!

Art:
Like everyone else, I wish Frank Quitely could draw a monthly book, but it's just not gonna happen. I've always said his art and need for time would make him well suited to Franco-Belgian comics, but oh well. As always, his art is beautiful here. He captures the emotions of Morrison's script perfectly all throughout the story. Of particular amazing-ness are his experimental layouts and page designs. The large spreads with small boxes showing expressions and the like are outstanding. The action and gore are great as well!
Overall:
We3 is a fantastic story with nearly perfect Quitely art. It is like nothing else you will read in comics and deserves every single bit of praise it recieved.
9.5/10
Just a heads up as well, DC is releasing a Deluxe Edition oversized hardcover in June for about 25 bucks (just over 16 at Amazon!) If you just want a trade it can be had for just over 8 dollars at instocktrades.
